Bongo Fragrance To Launch

Iconix Brand Group, Inc. has entered into a license agreement with First American Brands, a subsidiary of Italian fragrance marketer Vapro International for its BONGO brand. The new signature scent and beauty products will launch for Holiday 2006.

The fragrance will be distributed at mid-tier department and specialty stores and retail from $28.00-$45.00. The partnership with First American Brands continues the company’s expansion plans for the Bongo brand.

“We are excited to launch the Bongo signature scent. Bongo has a very high level of consumer awareness among the 14-24 age group and research shows that this demographic is always looking for new fragrances. This was a perfect opportunity for us to partner with a brand that has strong brand recognition with the marketing support and expertise of Iconix,” says Antonio Lemma, chief executive officer, First American Brands.
